Toluca thrashed Necaxa in an exciting match
Toluca convincingly defeated Necaxa in an exciting match played at the Estadio Victoria in Aguascalientes. The Red Devils showed great effectiveness in front of goal, while the Rayos could not find the formula to counter their opponent’s dominance.
The match began at a frenetic pace, and just in the 19th minute, Jean Angulo opened the scoring for Toluca with a precise shot. The Mexican striker wasn’t satisfied with one goal and scored his second goal in the 25th minute, after an excellent assist from Iván Violante.
Necaxa tried to react, but couldn’t find their way to goal. Angulo completed his hat-trick in the 66th minute, again with the help of Violante, practically sentencing the match.
In the final minutes of the game, Necaxa found a consolation goal through a goal by Alonso Palavecino in the 90th minute, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the defeat.
Toluca took a convincing 3-1 victory, thanks to a brilliant performance by Jean Angulo, who emerged as the figure of the match.
