Sporting Cristal Crushes Unión Comercio in an Offensive Masterclass
Sporting Cristal thrashed Unión Comercio 11-0 in a matchday 16 fixture of the Peruvian Primera División Clausura Tournament. The celeste team displayed an unrelenting dominance, putting on a goal-scoring exhibition that left the visiting team with no options.
The match started at a frenetic pace, and Sporting Cristal quickly opened the scoring. Martín Cauteruccio got the ball rolling in the 3rd minute, assisted by S. González. Just four minutes later, C. González doubled the lead, leaving the visiting team in shock.
Cauteruccio scored again in the 10th minute, before assisting F. Pacheco for the fourth Celeste goal. The match’s top scorer capped off his brilliant performance with his third personal goal in the 22nd minute.
The second half continued with the same intensity. C. González scored his second personal goal in the 37th minute, and Cauteruccio completed his hat-trick in the 43rd minute.
The substitutions made by both teams did not affect the final result. L. Iberico came on and scored two goals in quick succession, in the 47th and 53rd minute.
