Tractor Sazi Cruises Past Ravshan with a Dominant 4-1 Win
Dushanbe, October 23, 2024. Tractor Sazi secured a convincing victory over Ravshan in the third matchday of the 2024 AFC Cup group stage. The Iranians dominated the game from the start, boasting 62% possession and 15 shots on goal, 8 of which found the target. Ravshan, on the other hand, had fewer opportunities, registering just 12 shots, 5 of them on target.
The opening goal arrived in the 26th minute through A. Hosseinzadeh, who received a pass from D. Esmaeilifar to give Tractor Sazi the lead. Hosseinzadeh struck again in the 32nd minute, assisted by M. Torabi, extending the advantage to 2-0. In the second half, Ravshan attempted a comeback and had a few chances, but Tractor Sazi’s defense stood strong. The Iranian team’s third goal came in the 80th minute, courtesy of T. Strkalj, who capitalized on a pass from R. Alves to increase the lead to 3-0. Ravshan managed to pull one back in the 90th minute through D. Mawutor, but the goal came too late to prevent the defeat.
With this result, Tractor Sazi solidifies their position at the top of Group A in the 2024 AFC Cup.
