The match began at a frantic pace and was marked by tension from the first minute. The first yellow card came in the 7th minute for Burton Albion player, R. Sweeney, for a hard tackle.
In the 12th minute, it was Wycombe’s turn, with J. Scowen receiving a caution. The opening goal came in the 16th minute, courtesy of G. Kodua, who took advantage of a precise pass from J. Scowen to put Wycombe ahead.
