Inter beats Roma in an exciting match at the Olimpico
Inter Milan beat Roma in a hard-fought match that took place at the Stadio Olimpico, in Rome. The match, corresponding to the eighth round of the 2024 Serie A, was marked by intensity and numerous yellow cards, with a total of five for Inter and two for Roma.
Inter dominated the first half with more possession of the ball (45% compared to 55% for Roma), although Roma had more scoring opportunities, with 12 shots (2 on goal) against Inter’s 11 (6 on goal).
In the second half, Inter took control of the game, scoring the only goal of the match in the 60th minute through Lautaro Martínez. Roma had difficulty penetrating Inter’s defense, despite their 12 shots and 3 corners, and were less accurate in finishing.
Inter added three vital points in their fight for the title, while Roma suffered their second defeat in Serie A.
