U.N.A.M. – Pumas Thrashes Atlético San Luis in a Thrilling Match
Mexico City, October 20, 2024 – In an electrifying encounter at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario, U.N.A.M. – Pumas secured a resounding 3-0 victory over Atlético San Luis, in the 12th round of the Apertura 2024 Liga MX season.
The match began with a frenetic pace, with both sides showing attacking intent. In the 37th minute, U.N.A.M. – Pumas came close to opening the scoring with a goal from Eduardo Aguila, but it was disallowed for offside. The first half was characterized by an intense game, marked by yellow cards to Cristian Huerta Valera (42′) and Gustavo Martinez (45′) of U.N.A.M. – Pumas, and Diego Guillen (45′) of Atlético San Luis.
In the 45th minute, Cristian Huerta Valera broke the deadlock for U.N.A.M. – Pumas with a quality goal, assisted by Ricardo Ergas.
The second half continued with the same dynamism, and U.N.A.M. – Pumas extended their lead in the 54th minute through another goal from Cristian Huerta Valera, this time assisted by Paolo Quispe Cordova.
Gustavo Martinez sealed the victory in the 59th minute with a goal that left Atlético San Luis without a response.
