Penafiel defeats União de Leiria in a heated match
Penafiel, Portugal – Penafiel emerged victorious against União de Leiria with a 1-0 win in a Portuguese Second League match filled with red cards and excitement.
The only goal of the game came in the 15th minute, when D. Batista capitalized on an assist to put his team in the lead. Penafiel dominated the first half, but União de Leiria recovered in the second half.
The match became more intense after the sending off of J. Silva from Penafiel in the 65th minute. The player received a second yellow card for a rough tackle and left his team a man down.
