Arsenal win over Everton in a possession-dominated match
Arsenal defeated Everton 4-0 in the 3rd round of the FA WSL, in a game dominated by the Gunners, who had 69% possession and 18 shots, 5 of them on target.
The victory came in the second half, after a goalless start to the game. Arsenal began to generate dangerous chances from the 60th minute onwards, with a series of substitutions that allowed them to deploy a more dynamic and effective style of play.
Everton, on the other hand, had few chances to score, with only 5 shots, 2 of them on target. In the last quarter of an hour, the visitors were forced to defend more intensely, which was reflected in the higher number of fouls committed.
Towards the end of the match, Everton received two yellow cards, one for Hayley Payne in the 80th minute and another for Claire Brosnan in the 90th minute.
With this result, Arsenal solidify their position at the top of the FA WSL table, while Everton remain on 3 points.
