Anderlecht Dominates Standard Liege in a Thrilling Encounter
Brussels, Belgium – Anderlecht defeated Standard Liege 3-0 in a thrilling match played at the Lotto Park on Sunday.
Anderlecht dominated the game from the start, controlling possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities. J. Simic opened the scoring in the 9th minute, taking advantage of a pass from Y. Verschaeren. Verschaeren himself came close to scoring a second goal shortly before halftime, but his shot was saved by the Standard goalkeeper.
