North Carolina Courage dominates San Diego Wave with a convincing victory
Cary, North Carolina – The North Carolina Courage secured a convincing victory over San Diego Wave at WakeMed Soccer Park, with a final score of 3-1. The match was dominated by the Courage, who achieved a 57% possession and scored three goals in the first half.
Aline Gomes opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, and M. Matsukubo extended the lead in the 45th minute. The Wave attempted to react in the second half, but the Courage defense proved solid.
H. Lundkvist scored the only goal for San Diego Wave in the 84th minute, but it was too late to overturn the result.
