Sanfrecce Hiroshima secures a convincing victory over Eastern
Hong Kong, October 3, 2024 – Sanfrecce Hiroshima dominated Eastern in the second round of Group B of the 2024 AFC Cup, winning a convincing 4-1 at Mong Kok Stadium.
The match started with an early goal from Eastern, by D. Almazan in the 7th minute. However, Sanfrecce Hiroshima responded with a complete control of the ball and found the equalizer in the 40th minute through H. Matsumoto. Just a minute later, Y. Nakajima scored the second for the Japanese.
Eastern closed the gap with a goal from N. Baffoe in the 46th minute, but Sanfrecce Hiroshima regained the lead with a goal from H. Araki in the 90th minute.
