Borussia Dortmund thrashed Celtic in a thrilling match
Dortmund, Germany – Borussia Dortmund beat Celtic by a resounding 8-1 in a match from the second round of the UEFA Champions League group stage. The Germans showed their superiority from the start, scoring four goals in the first half, and sealed the victory with four more goals in the second half.
The match started at a frantic pace and with an early goal from Borussia Dortmund. In the 7th minute, Emre Can opened the scoring with a penalty. Celtic responded in the 9th minute with a goal from Daizen Maeda, but the joy was short-lived.
Karim Adeyemi scored two goals in the first 11 minutes of the match, and Borussia Dortmund already led 3-1. The German striker scored again in the 29th minute to increase the advantage.
Borussia Dortmund continued to press in the second half and added four more goals. Sebastian Guirassy scored two goals from penalties, in the 40th and 66th minutes, and Adeyemi completed his hat-trick in the 42nd minute.
Guirassy also scored his second goal in the 66th minute, and the young German striker, F. Nmecha, closed the account in the 79th minute.
Celtic had few chances to score and could do little to stop the Borussia Dortmund attack.
