Laval beats Pau in a card-filled match with plenty of goals
Laval beat Pau 4-1 in a Ligue 2 match marked by yellow cards and goals. The home team dominated the second half, scoring three goals in the final 20 minutes to seal the win.
Laval took the lead in the 29th minute with a goal from J. Roye, assisted by K. Zohi. Pau, however, did not give up and continued to fight, but had to face a wave of yellow cards: T. Arconte, I. Mohamed and L. Kouassi were booked in the first 40 minutes.
Laval extended their lead in the 41st minute with a penalty converted by M. Tchokounte. Pau received another yellow card before halftime, this time to K. Diawara.
The second half started at a similar pace, with Laval looking to extend their lead and Pau trying to react. The visitors received two more yellow cards in the first 15 minutes of the second half: A. Mille and K. Boutaib saw the yellow card.
Pau finally managed to reduce the deficit in the 77th minute with a goal from O. Ngom, assisted by A. Bobichon. But Laval responded with another goal in the 80th minute, scored by M. Sellouki.
