Al-Nassr secures convincing win over Al Wehda Club
Al-Nassr dominated the match in the fifth round of the Saudi Pro League, defeating Al Wehda Club 2-0 in an exciting match at the Al Awal Park at King Saud University stadium in Riyadh.
Al-Nassr’s dominance was evident from the start, with 67% possession of the ball and 18 shots, 6 of them on target. The first goal came in the 41st minute, thanks to a great pass from Sadio Mané that was taken advantage of by Angelo. Cristiano Ronaldo increased the lead in the 56th minute, after converting a penalty.
Al Wehda Club attempted to react, but were limited by the pressure of the rival and the expulsion of Waleed Bakshween in the 86th minute. The red was a consequence of a second yellow.
Al-Nassr secured an important victory, which allows them to stay in the fight for the top of the table. Next week, Al-Nassr will face Al-Hilal in a match that promises to be exciting.
