Universidad de Chile defeats Huachipato in an exciting match
Santiago de Chile – Universidad de Chile defeated Huachipato 3-1 in a vibrant match played at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos. The game was marked by the intensity and fight of both teams, with a total of 20 fouls and 4 yellow cards.
Universidad de Chile dominated possession (75%) and created more scoring opportunities (21 shots, 5 on target), but Huachipato was more effective in the first half.
The opening goal came in the 18th minute when L. Fernández scored from the penalty spot. However, Huachipato equalized in the 58th minute thanks to a goal from T. Vecino.
In the second half, Universidad de Chile pressed and managed to turn the game around. L. Fernández had the chance to extend the lead in the 50th minute with another penalty, but this time he missed.
Finally, La U sealed the victory with two goals in the final minutes. N. Guerra scored the 2-1 in the 88th minute and L. Fernández sealed the 3-1 in the 90th minute.
