Tigres UANL beats FC Juárez in a close game
Ciudad Juárez, Mexico – Tigres UANL defeated FC Juárez 1-0 in a tight match at the Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez. The win came thanks to a goal from Sebastián Córdova in the 85th minute, assisted by André-Pierre Gignac.
The match was characterized by intensity and a fight for ball control. Tigres UANL dominated possession (57%), while FC Juárez had more shots (9 vs 17). However, finishing efficiency favored the visiting team.
In the first half, yellow cards were issued to Jesús Garza (Tigres UANL) in the 24th minute and to Uriel Antuna (Tigres UANL) in the 49th minute.
In the second half, the substitutions were constant. FC Juárez replaced J. A. González Mendoza and Edson Fernando in the 60th minute, while Tigres UANL made changes in the 60th and 71st minutes.
The match heated up in the final minutes with two yellow cards for FC Juárez (Carlos Salcedo in the 73rd minute and Guilherme Castilho in the 74th minute) and one for Tigres UANL (Jesús Angulo in the 90th minute).
