Molde routs Kristiansund BK in a dominant performance
Molde dominated the 19th round of the Eliteserien in Kristiansund, defeating Kristiansund BK by a resounding 5-0. The visiting team demonstrated clear superiority from the start, with 57% possession and a remarkable effectiveness in attack.
Molde opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a goal by M. Eikrem, assisted by O. Brynhildsen. The second came in the 23rd minute with a goal from E. Haugan, who received the pass from C. Oyvann. Molde continued to press and although K. Eriksen had a goal disallowed by VAR in the 28th minute, they quickly returned to the charge.
In the second half, Molde extended the lead with two quick goals. First, O. Brynhildsen scored in the 48th minute, assisted by K. Eriksen. Then, M. Eikrem scored his second goal of the game in the 61st minute, unassisted.
Kristiansund BK could not find a way to stop Molde, who closed the rout with a fifth goal in the 72nd minute. The home team accumulated yellow cards, with D. Tufekcic, K. Lien, O. Sivertsen and I. Jelicic being booked. Molde, meanwhile, only received one yellow card, to I. Amundsen.
The victory consolidates Molde in the top half of the table, while Kristiansund BK continues to fight to stay out of the relegation zone.
