Al Sadd beats Al Ain in a tight match
Al Sadd overcame Al Ain by 1-0 in a thrilling AFC Champions League match played at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain. The only goal of the match was scored by Akram Afif for Al Sadd in the 45th minute.
The match started with Al Ain dominating possession (64% compared to Al Sadd’s 36%) and creating several dangerous chances, but without managing to score. Al Sadd, for their part, were more effective in attack, taking advantage of the first clear opportunity to open the scoring with Afif’s goal.
In the second half, Al Ain pressed for an equalizer, but Al Sadd’s defense remained firm. Al Ain had more shots on goal (3 compared to 4 by Al Sadd), but failed to beat the opposition goalkeeper.
