Alverca dominates the match but Maritimo takes the win in an exciting final
Alverca started the game strong, scoring two goals in the first 18 minutes thanks to F. Varela and A. Carter. However, Maritimo did not get discouraged and fought with persistence. Although they failed to find the back of the net for most of the game, the visiting team reacted in the end.
In the 90th minute, a goal by Igor Juliao, assisted by P. Empis, meant the comeback and victory for Maritimo. Alverca, despite yellow cards for Brenner, A. Oliveira, A. Carter and Luiz Miguel, could not contain Maritimo’s momentum.
Alverca received four yellow cards and didn’t score any goals after their first two. Maritimo scored a goal and received a yellow card in the end of the game.
