Famalicão and GIL Vicente Draw in Exciting Match
Famalicão and GIL Vicente faced off in an exciting match that ended in a 1-1 draw. The match, corresponding to the fifth round of the Primeira Liga, was played at the Estádio Municipal 22 de Junho in Vila Nova de Famalicão.
Famalicão opened the scoring in the 14th minute thanks to a goal from M. González, assisted by Sorriso. However, GIL Vicente managed to equalize the score in the 49th minute with a goal from F. Correia, who took advantage of an assist from K. Fujimoto.
Despite the substitutions and a yellow card for Rafa Soares, Famalicão failed to regain the lead and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Famalicão dominated ball possession with 57%, while GIL Vicente remained with 43%. Famalicão also had more scoring opportunities, with 14 shots (4 on target) compared to GIL Vicente’s 8 (2 on target).
