Al-Raed crushes Al-Fayha with a dominant 6-0 victory
Al Majma’ah, Saudi Arabia – Al-Raed secured a commanding 6-0 victory over Al-Fayha in the third round of the Saudi Pro League, played at the Al Majma’ah Sports City Stadium. The match was marked by a tumultuous start for Al-Fayha, who conceded an own goal in the 6th minute and fell behind again in the 17th minute with a goal from Mohamed Fouzair. Al-Raed dominated the match from then on and went into the break with a 3-0 lead after Khaled El Berkaoui’s goal in the 45th minute.
In the second half, Al-Fayha failed to find their rhythm and conceded three more goals in the 60th, 66th and 84th minutes. El Berkaoui scored again in the 60th, while Salem Al Amri netted in the 66th and 84th.
The sending-off of Chris Smalling in the 55th minute, after receiving a second yellow card, proved to be a turning point in the match, leaving Al-Fayha with a man down and no chance of a comeback.
