Houston Dynamo defeats LAFC in a close match
Los Angeles, California – The Houston Dynamo secured a 2-0 victory over Los Angeles FC in a tightly contested match at BMO Stadium.
The Dynamo dominated possession with 64%, but the LAFC had the better chances in the first half. Argentine forward E. Ponce opened the scoring for the Dynamo in the 28th minute with a precise finish, taking advantage of a defensive lapse by the LAFC.
The second half was marked by tension and yellow cards. LAFC saw three of its players, Bouanga, Palencia, and Atuesta, cautioned by referee Villarrea Armando. Houston, on the other hand, accumulated four cautions, with Ponce, Escobar, Dorsey, and Herrera receiving yellow cards.
In the 72nd minute, L. Ennali sealed the game with a second goal for the Dynamo, solidifying the Texan team’s victory. The LAFC was imprecise in attack, failing to generate any real danger towards the Dynamo goal.
