Napoli Wins a Tense Match Against Parma
Napoli secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Parma in the third round of Serie A 2024. The match, held at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples, was marked by a Parma player’s red card and several yellow cards.
Parma started the match with more possession (57%) but failed to translate it into scoring opportunities. In fact, the visiting team only managed two shots, both off target. Napoli, on the other hand, proved more effective, taking advantage of two opportunities to score.
The opening goal came in the 19th minute when A. Bonny converted a penalty. Parma attempted to react, but their lack of attacking intensity and the red card for Z. Suzuki in the 76th minute proved costly. In the final minutes, Napoli took advantage of their numerical superiority to seal the game with two more goals. First, R. Lukaku scored in the 90th minute after an assist from L. Spinazzola. Finally, F. Anguissa closed the scoring in the 90th minute thanks to an assist from David Neres.
Napoli thus adds its second win in Serie A, while Parma remains scoreless after three matches.
