Academico Viseu thrashed Alverca in a dominant performance
Alverca do Ribatejo, Portugal – Academico Viseu secured a convincing 5-0 victory over Alverca in the fourth round of the Portuguese Second League, dominating the match from start to finish.
Academico Viseu started the game with great intensity and opened the scoring early. Yuri Araujo put them ahead in the 11th minute with a goal assisted by S. Messeguem. Just three minutes later, Andre Clovis doubled the lead with a goal that was also assisted by Paulinho.
In the second half, Academico Viseu continued their dominance and scored three more goals. A. Almeida made it 3-0 in the 35th minute, while Paulinho scored his second of the game in the 50th. The visitors rounded off the scoring in the 76th minute.
Despite changes made by Alverca, Academico Viseu remained solid in defense and managed to control the game without much trouble.
Alverca finished the game with three yellow cards for Iago Mendonca, Luiz Miguel and Vitor Bruno, while Academico Viseu did not receive any cards.
With this result, Academico Viseu climbs to the top of the table, while Alverca remains in the lower reaches.
