Bolton Wins Thrilling League Cup Encounter Against Shrewsbury
Bolton defeated Shrewsbury 2-0 in an exciting second-round League Cup tie played at The Croud Meadow in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
The match began at a slow pace, but came to life in the second half with two Bolton goals. J. Osei-Tutu opened the scoring in the 52nd minute with a shot that the Shrewsbury goalkeeper was unable to save. D. Charles then doubled the lead in the 65th minute with a superb goal, leaving Shrewsbury with no chance of a comeback.
