Torpedo Zhodino upsets Bate Borisov with a victory at Borisov Arena
Torpedo Zhodino pulled off a surprising 2-1 win over Bate Borisov at Borisov Arena on Sunday in the 19th round of the Belarusian Premier League.
The match started with an early goal from V. Pobudey for Torpedo Zhodino in the 9th minute, assisted by I. Burko. Bate Borisov tried to react but couldn’t equalize in the first half.
In the second half, Torpedo Zhodino extended their lead in the 49th minute with a goal from M. Skavysh, who scored unassisted. Bate Borisov finally found the back of the net in the 82nd minute, with a goal from O. Omirtaev that wasn’t enough to avoid defeat.
Despite multiple substitutions from Bate Borisov, Torpedo Zhodino held on to their advantage and took home the three points.
