Pyramids FC thrashes El Gouna in Cup quarter-finals
Cairo, Egypt – Pyramids FC emphatically defeated El Gouna FC in the Cup quarter-finals, securing a 5-0 victory in a game dominated from start to finish. The match, played at the 30 June Air Defence Stadium, showcased the capital team’s superiority as they controlled the ball and created numerous scoring opportunities.
The first goal came in the 8th minute when F. Mayele capitalized on a pass from M. Fathi to open the scoring. El Gouna tried to respond but lacked precision in their attacks, preventing them from getting closer to an equalizer. In the 42nd minute, A. Samy scored the second for Pyramids FC, assisted by M. Hamdi, and just three minutes later, Samy received a yellow card.
The second half continued with the same trend, with Pyramids FC dominating the game. In the 57th minute, I. B. Toure extended the lead, thanks to an assist from M. Hamdi, and in the 79th, M. Fathi sealed the game with another goal, assisted by M. Reda.
