Brentford defeat Crystal Palace in an exciting match
Brentford beat Crystal Palace in an exciting match played at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford, Middlesex. The game, which was the first of the 2024 Premier League season, ended 3-1 in favor of the home team.
The first goal of the game came in the 29th minute thanks to Bryan Mbeumo, who took advantage of a pass from Yoane Wissa to put the Bees ahead. Crystal Palace equalised in the 57th minute with an own goal by Ethan Pinnock, after a cross from D. Munoz. However, Brentford regained the lead in the 76th minute with a goal from Yoane Wissa, who finished with great precision. The third and final goal came in the 83rd minute when F. Carvalho took advantage of an opportunity to seal the win.
The match was marked by yellow cards. Brentford received one yellow card in the 20th minute for a foul by Wissa, while Crystal Palace received five yellow cards, in the 22nd, 45th, 65th, 90th and 89th minutes.
Despite the yellow cards and Crystal Palace’s attempts to equalise, Brentford managed to control the game and take the win.
