Fenerbahçe Dominates Göztepe in a Thrilling Match
İzmir, Turkey – Fenerbahçe secured a victory this Saturday at the Göztepe Gürsel Aksel Stadı, overcoming Göztepe with a score of 2-3 in a thrilling match of the second round of the Turkish Super Lig.
Fenerbahçe dominated possession with 55%, and although Göztepe managed to shoot more on goal (15 shots to 12), Fenerbahçe’s effectiveness made the difference.
The first half began with a clear opportunity for Göztepe, which was thwarted by a refereeing decision that invalidated a goal by Rômulo. However, Fenerbahçe took control of the game, scoring two goals in the closing stages of the first half.
