Colo Colo edges out Junior in a tense affair

Santiago de Chile – Colo Colo overcame Junior de Barranquilla by a score of 1-0 in a high-tension match for the first leg of the Copa Libertadores Round of 16. The only goal of the encounter arrived in the 76th minute through Vicente Pizarro.

The match was marked by the intensity and the fight of both teams. The first half was back and forth with few scoring opportunities, but with plenty of friction in the midfield. Up to six yellow cards were shown, three to each side, before the break.
