FC Basel Crushes Servette in a Dominant Performance
FC Basel 1893 convincingly defeated Servette FC by a score of 7-0 in a Swiss Super League match played this Sunday at the Stade de Genève.
The home side dominated from the start and opened the scoring in the 37th minute with a goal from T. Barry, assisted by B. Traore. Just after the start of the second half, B. Traore scored the second goal for Basel, following an assist from A. Ajeti. Ajeti increased the lead in the 63rd minute, with an assist from D. Schmid.
Basel continued their dominance and Ajeti managed to score his second personal goal in the 76th minute, while M. Soticek and B. Kololli completed the rout in the 81st and 87th minutes, respectively.
FC Basel 1893 showed offensive strength and a solid defense that left Servette FC without any options. Despite having a higher percentage of ball possession, Servette failed to generate any danger in the opponent’s goal.
The match was marked by the numerous substitutions made by both teams in the second half.
