Bate Borisov defeats Naftan in a controversial match
Borisov, Belarus – Bate Borisov secured a 1-0 victory over Naftan in a Belarusian Premier League match marred by a red card for a visiting player and several yellow cards.
The lone goal of the game came in the 52nd minute when T. Dzhikiya converted a penalty for Bate Borisov. Naftan’s A. Kharitonovich had been sent off with a straight red just two minutes prior, putting his team at a numerical disadvantage.
The match was played with intensity, and the referee had to caution seven players. Naftan received two yellow cards, while Bate Borisov accumulated four.
