GO Ahead Eagles and Brann Draw in Exciting Match
The UEFA Europa Conference League 2nd Qualifying Round match between GO Ahead Eagles and Brann ended in a 2-2 draw in a thrilling encounter at Brann Stadion in Bergen.
GO Ahead Eagles started strongly, taking the lead in the 2nd minute through a goal from S. Tengstedt, assisted by J. Breum. However, Brann responded with a goal from B. Finne in the 42nd minute, assisted by N. Castro, to go into halftime with the scores level.
The second half continued to be just as exciting. Brann took the lead in the 62nd minute through a goal from F. Knudsen, again assisted by N. Castro. GO Ahead Eagles tried to react, but couldn’t find a way to score until the end of the match.
The match was marked by several yellow cards, three for GO Ahead Eagles and one for Brann.
Despite the draw, the result leaves the tie open, which will be decided in the return leg in the Netherlands.
