Universitario Defeats Cienciano in a Hard-Fought Match at the Monumental Stadium
Universitario emerged victorious against Cienciano with a score of 2 to 1 in a vibrant match held at the Estadio Monumental in Lima. The game, corresponding to the third round of the Peruvian First Division, was characterized by Universitario’s territorial dominance, maintaining ball possession for 64% of the time.
The first goal of the match came in the 36th minute, when J. Concha, following an excellent assist from A. Polo, opened the scoring for Universitario. However, the match became tense, with a series of yellow cards shown to players from both teams: S. D. Arias Fierro and C. Nunez for Cienciano, and W. Riveros and P.
