Juventus salvages a draw against Lazio in an electrifying match
Turin, Italy – In a highly contested match at the Allianz Stadium, Juventus and Lazio drew in a game full of emotions and twists. Despite dominating possession with 63%, Juventus was surprised by an effective Lazio that capitalized on its opportunities.
The first half saw a goal disallowed for Juventus in the 26th minute due to offside, after VAR review. Lazio, with much less possession (37%), managed to open the scoring just before halftime (45th minute) thanks to Pedro, assisted by D. Maldini.
The second half began explosively. Just two minutes after the restart, G. Isaksen extended Lazio’s lead, assisted by D. Cataldi. Juventus reacted and narrowed the gap in the 59th minute thanks to W. McKennie, who received a pass from A. Cambiaso. The game remained tense, with several yellow cards shown to Lazio players (K. Taylor and A. Romagnoli).
Just when it seemed that Lazio would take the victory, Juventus managed to equalize in the last minute of regular time (90th minute). P. Kalulu, assisted by J. Boga, scored the goal that leveled the final score. Despite the superiority in shots (32 against 9) and corners (8 against 1), Juventus could not translate its dominance into a victory. Lazio, with a convincing effectiveness, was close to taking all three points from Turin.
