St. Truiden Claims Decisive Victory in Westerlo
St. Truiden secured a convincing win against KVC Westerlo in a match held at Het Kuipje in Westerlo, showcasing great efficiency in front of goal. Despite KVC Westerlo enjoying a slightly higher possession rate (52% against 48%), St. Truiden proved far more threatening in attack, generating a total of 17 shots, 6 of which were on target, compared to Westerlo’s meager 6 shots (only one on target).
The goal-scoring spree began early with R. Yamamoto finding the net in the 10th minute. St. Truiden extended their lead with goals from A. Sissako in the 31st minute and R. Yamamoto again in the 42nd minute. In the second half, KVC Westerlo, already struggling after D. Ourega’s expulsion in the 76th minute, watched as K. Goto sealed the match in the 82nd minute.
