Liverpool Dominates Barnsley in FA Cup with Convincing Victory
Liverpool, England – In a match held at Anfield, Liverpool demonstrated their superiority by defeating Barnsley with a score of 4 to 1 in the Round of 64 of the FA Cup. The home team, with an impressive 75% ball possession, controlled the pace of the game from the start.
Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring in the 9th minute, thanks to an assist from Alexis Mac Allister. The lead was extended in the 36th minute, with another goal, this time by Jeremie Frimpong, again assisted by Mac Allister. Despite Liverpool’s dominance, Barnsley managed to reduce the deficit in the 40th minute with a goal from Adam Phillips.
