Swansea Secures Victory in Card-Filled Match at Oxford
Oxford, England – Swansea City defeated Oxford United in a hard-fought match at the Kassam Stadium, ending with a score of 1 to 0. The only goal of the match came early, in the 13th minute, when Z. Vipotnik, assisted by J. Tymon, found the back of the net to give the visitors the lead.
The match was marked by a physical game, reflected in the number of cautions. Oxford United received two yellow cards, shown to T. Goodrham and J. Currie. Swansea, on the other hand, accumulated a total of four yellow cards for M. Widell, Z. Inoussa, M. Stamenic and J. Eom.
Despite having 47% of the ball possession, Oxford United failed to convert their opportunities, with only two of their ten shots on target. Swansea, with 53% possession, was slightly more effective in attack, managing to direct five of their ten shots towards the rival goal. The home side only managed one corner, while Swansea earned five. The match was officiated by referee Adam Herczeg.
