HNK Rijeka Claims Home Victory Over Vukovar in Action-Packed Match
Rijeka, Croatia – In a match held at the Stadion HNK Rijeka, HNK Rijeka secured a win against Vukovar in a HNL game marked by home dominance and several key moments. Despite a first half where Rijeka established a solid lead with goals from S. Radeljic in the 11th minute and A. Orec in the 30th minute, Vukovar showed grit and reduced the deficit with a goal from R. Gonzalez in the 66th minute. However, Rijeka’s overwhelming possession, reaching 68%, allowed them to maintain control of the match. A penalty converted by T. Fruk in the 80th minute sealed the victory for the home team. The match was also marked by intensity in the game, evidenced by the numerous fouls committed by both teams and the yellow cards shown to players on both sides. With a notable difference in shots on goal (7 for Rijeka, 1 for Vukovar) and corners (11 for Rijeka, 3 for Vukovar), HNK Rijeka demonstrated their superiority on the field.
