Bosnia & Herzegovina Mount Comeback Victory Over Romania in Thrilling Match
Zenica, November 15, 2025 – In a vibrant encounter held at the Bilino Polje stadium, Bosnia & Herzegovina secured an important victory over Romania in the World Cup qualification stage. The match, marked by high intensity and numerous cards, culminated in a final score favorable to the home side.
Romania took an early lead with a goal from D. Birligea in the 17th minute, assisted by V. Mihaila. However, Bosnia & Herzegovina didn’t give up, and after a first half characterized by fouls and cautions, they managed to equalize at the start of the second half with a goal from E. Dzeko in the 49th minute.
The match became complicated for Romania when D. Dragus received a red card in the 68th minute, leaving his team with ten men. Bosnia & Herzegovina capitalized on the numerical advantage and extended their lead with a goal from E. Bajraktarevic in the 80th minute, assisted by B. Tahirovic. In added time, H. Tabakovic sealed the victory with a third goal for the home team.
English referee Michael Oliver had a busy night, showing five yellow cards to Bosnia & Herzegovina players and two to Romanian players, in addition to the straight red card for Dragus.
