FCSB Dominates at Cluj Arena: Convincing Victory Over Universitatea Cluj
Cluj-Napoca, Romania – FCSB secured a well-deserved victory on their visit to Cluj Arena, imposing their offensive play and ball control against a Universitatea Cluj side that played a large part of the match with ten men. The match, corresponding to matchday 15 of Liga I, saw FCSB dominate possession with 62% compared to the home team’s 38%.
The first goal came in the 32nd minute, thanks to a brilliant play by D. Olaru, who received a precise assist from M. Lixandru. The situation became even more complicated for Universitatea Cluj when A. Murgia received his second yellow card and, consequently, the red card in the 39th minute.
In the second half, FCSB continued to press and D. Olaru scored again in the 56th minute, extending the lead and virtually sealing the victory. Despite the attempts of Universitatea Cluj, who had 6 shots, none managed to trouble the FCSB goal. The visiting team, on the other hand, generated 30 shots, 9 of which were on target, demonstrating their superiority in attack. Universitatea Cluj finished the match with 3 yellow cards and one red, while FCSB received one yellow card. Romanian referee Adrian Viorel Cojocaru had a busy night at Cluj Arena.
