Kayseri, Turkey – An emotionally charged and controversial match took place at the Kadir Has Stadium, where Kayserispor and Genclerbirligi drew one-all in a Süper Lig match corresponding to the seventh round. Referee Yigit Arslan had a busy afternoon, showing a total of eight yellow cards and two red cards.
Genclerbirligi took the lead in the 26th minute thanks to a goal by O. Ulgun, assisted by M. Niang, taking advantage of one of the few scoring opportunities generated by the visiting team.
