Late Goal Earns Comerciantes Unidos a Draw Against Melgar in Cutervo.
Comerciantes Unidos and FBC Melgar played to a 1-1 draw in a hard-fought match at the Estadio Juan Maldonado Gamarra in Cutervo, as part of matchday 11 of the Apertura in the Peruvian Primera División.
FBC Melgar controlled possession for much of the game, enjoying 57% of the ball and creating more goal-scoring opportunities with 14 total shots, though only 4 were on target. Bernardo Cuesta broke the deadlock in the 51st minute, putting the visitors ahead.
Comerciantes Unidos, with 43% possession, fought hard and created danger with 15 shots, 4 of which were on target.
