Stalemate in Istanbul: Eyüpspor and Goztepe Draw in Tense Match
Istanbul, Turkey – In a match corresponding to the seventh round of the Turkish Süper Lig, Eyüpspor and Goztepe drew at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadyumu. The match, refereed by Kadir Saglam, was characterized by intensity and physical play.
Eyüpspor dominated possession with 57%, but struggled to convert that dominance into clear goal-scoring opportunities. Of their three shots, only one was on target. The home team also generated four corner kicks. Eyüpspor’s game was interrupted by six fouls, and two of their players received yellow cards.
Goztepe, on the other hand, showed a greater attacking desire, with 17 shots, although only two of them found the target.
