Draw in Płock: Wisła Płock and GKS Katowice Share the Spoils
Płock, Poland – In a hard-fought match at the Orlen Stadion, Wisła Płock and GKS Katowice drew in a game corresponding to the tenth round of the Ekstraklasa. The home side took the lead just before halftime, in the 45th minute, thanks to a goal by Z. Rogelj, assisted by W. Nowak, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
However, GKS Katowice did not back down and came out with renewed energy after the break. Their persistence was rewarded in the 54th minute when M. Wasielewski equalized. The score remained tied for the rest of the match, although not without tension. L. Klemenz of GKS Katowice received a yellow card in the 58th minute, while D. Pacheco of Wisła Płock was also cautioned in the 80th minute.
VAR intervened in the 84th minute to disallow a goal by A. Zrelak of GKS Katowice due to offside, maintaining the tie on the scoreboard. Despite the efforts of both teams and the possession dominance of GKS Katowice (55% compared to Wisła Płock’s 45%), the match ended in a draw. In terms of shots, Wisła Płock generated 11 (5 on target), while GKS Katowice took 10 (5 on target).
