Arsenal Progresses in League Cup with Hard-Fought Win Against Port Vale
Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire – Arsenal defeated Port Vale at Vale Park in a match corresponding to the third round of the League Cup. Despite the disparity in possession, with a resounding 80% for the Gunners compared to 20% for Port Vale, the match was not a walk in the park for the London team.
E. Eze opened the scoring early, in the 8th minute, after a good assist from M. Lewis-Skelly. However, Port Vale remained compact and fought for every ball. The second half continued with Arsenal dominating possession and looking to extend their lead.
