Brighton and Tottenham Draw in Thrilling Encounter
Falmer, East Sussex – A vibrant match at the American Express Stadium saw Brighton and Tottenham draw two apiece, in a Premier League fixture. Brighton took an early lead with a goal from Y. Minteh in the 8th minute, assisted by G. Rutter. The lead was extended in the 31st minute with a goal from Y. Ayari. However, Tottenham responded before halftime with a goal from Richarlison in the 43rd minute, assisted by M. Kudus.
In the second half, Tottenham continued to press and found the equalizer thanks to an own goal by J. P. van Hecke in the 82nd minute, following another play by M. Kudus. Despite Tottenham’s high possession (64%) and a greater number of corners (10 compared to Brighton’s 2), Brighton defended fiercely. The match was intense, with a total of 22 fouls committed (10 by Brighton and 12 by Tottenham) and three yellow cards shown, one for Brighton and two for Tottenham. Ultimately, the score remained unchanged until the final whistle.
