Gent Dominates Dender at Planet Group Arena
Gent, Belgium – In a match corresponding to the eighth matchday of the Jupiler Pro League, Gent demonstrated its superiority over Dender with a convincing victory. The match, played at the Planet Group Arena, ended with a score favorable to the home team.
From the opening whistle, Gent imposed its rhythm, maintaining 63% ball possession and generating constant scoring opportunities. The first joy for the locals came early, in the 6th minute, when W. Kanga, assisted by M. Paskotsi, opened the scoring. Kanga himself pierced the net again in the 48th minute, this time with an assist from A. Ito, extending Gent’s lead.
Dender, for its part, struggled to find its game, although without managing to seriously worry the rival goal. Despite 37% possession and 14 goal attempts, only three of them found the correct direction. Dender’s frustration materialized with a yellow card for B. Nsimba in the 52nd minute.
In the 83rd minute, A. Kadri, with an assist from an inspired W. Kanga, sealed the match for Gent, leaving the score at a definitive 3 to 0. Referee Jan Boterberg controlled the match with a firm hand, showing a yellow card to Gent player M. Samoise in the 32nd minute. Gent added valuable points to the standings thanks to this solid performance.
