LDU Quito Secures Home Advantage Against Sao Paulo in Thrilling Libertadores Clash
Quito, Ecuador – LDU Quito emerged victorious against Sao Paulo in the first leg of the CONMEBOL Libertadores quarter-finals, played at the Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado. With clinical efficiency, the Ecuadorian team capitalized on their chances to secure a valuable win.
The match, refereed by Argentine Yael Falcon Perez, began with Sao Paulo dominating possession (59% against LDU’s 41%). However, it was LDU who struck first. In the 15th minute, B. J. Ramirez Leon, assisted by G. F. Allala Menendez, opened the scoring with a goal that ignited the stadium.
