Buriram, Thailand – An intense and controversial match took place at the Chang Arena, where Buriram United defeated Johor Darul Takzim FC in a vibrant AFC Champions League encounter. The match was marked by the intervention of VAR on two early occasions, disallowing goals for both teams in the first seven minutes due to handball and offside, respectively.
Johor Darul Takzim FC opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a goal by Antonio Cristian, following a play without assist. However, Buriram United responded strongly in the second half. First, S. Mueanta equalized the match in the 50th minute, assisted by R. Zulj. Just four minutes later, R.
